EUGENE — Oregon finished off a sweep of Stanford in the Ducks’ first Pac-12 Conference softball series at Jane Sanders Stadium Saturday with an 8-0 run-rule victory.

The victory is the Ducks’ 18th straight, which ties the school record for consecutive wins set in 2007.

Oregon (26-4, 6-0 Pac-12) outscored the Cardinal 21-2 in the series. The Ducks have won 13 straight against Stanford.

Cheridan Hawkins picked up the win, her 10th of the season, after tossing five scoreless innings with two hits, two walks and eight strikeouts.

Oregon’s Jenna Lilley was hit by a pitch in the face in the second inning and had to leave the game. She was taken to RiverBend Hospital in Springfield. As of Saturday evening, doctors do not think she will need surgery.
