SALEM — UCC's William Turner and Araya Jensen finished in the top five at the Physical Training Championship on Oct. 28.

Turner finished second in the college division with 80 push-ups, 70 sit-ups, 20 pull-ups and ran 300 meters in 52 second and a 2-mile run in 12:56.

Jensen did 52 push-ups, 56 sit-ups, 15 pull-us and ran the 300 meter dash in 58 seconds and the 2-mile run in 14:08 for a fourth place in the open division.

Umpqua's obstacle course racing team will compete in the Spartan Race on Sunday in Sacramento, California, to finish its fall season.

I can see it now...scholarships to run an obstacle course. UCC has reached its nadir. Well, actually the Southern Oregon Wine Institute takes the cake. Now that I think about it, the hiring of Blaine Nisson was the nadir.
