GRESHAM — Umpqua Community College's volleyball team won the first set, but ended up falling 20-25, 25-18, 28-26, 25-17 to Mt. Hood in Saturday's NWAC Southern Region match.

Cara Windsor had 14 kills for UCC (9-17, 2-7 South) in the match. Margaret Anderson and Roseburg graduate Karsyn Ramsey had seven kills each.

Roseburg graduate Felicia Sparks had 25 assists against Mt. Hood (16-9, 6-3) and Madison Becker added 14 assists and five aces. Glide graduate Kylie Merlino had 12 digs and Kyrie Keffer contributed 11 digs for the Riverhawks.
