ROCKLIN, Calif. — Umpqua Community College wrestler Moira Sheldon and Pamela Bean competed in the Cliff Keen Women's West Coast Tournament of Champions this weekend.

Sheldon wrestled at 130 and was pinned by Abigail Nette of Emmanuel College in 1:06 in her first match of the tournament. She then went on to pin Nicole Kolaczyke of CSUC in 44 seconds, before falling to Menlo College's Melanie Cordero on a 10-0 technical fall.

Simon Fraser University's Alyvia Diske defeated Pamela Beans in a 10-0 techinical fall in the quarterfinals. Beans then received a bye in her consolation match and Eastern Oregon University's Renay Monohan won by 12-2 technical fall in Beans' last match of the day.

The UCC women's wrestling team is scheduled to travel to Menlo, California, on January 5 for a dual.
