ATHERTON, Calif. — Umpqua Community College took third at the Menlo College Women’s Open wrestling tournament Friday.

Menlo College won its home tournament with 152 points, followed by Simon Fraser University with 131 points. UCC had 42.

Jordyn White scored 9.5 points for the Riverhawks in the 123-pound bracket. White finished third, while teammate Bresly Aleman finished fourth in the same bracket.

UCC also had multiple wrestlers in the 109-pound, 116-pound and 130-pound brackets.

In the 109 competition, Esthela Trevino finished third while Lizzete Ramos was fourth. At 116, Mariah Annis was fourth and Britney Garnica was eighth.

Alejandra Galindo was 10th in the 130-pound competition while Laura Ekada finished 12th.

Sienna Lejeune (170) finished fourth to score four points for Umpqua, and Juliana Castro (101) was third and also received four team points.

The women host Southwestern Oregon Community College on Jan. 18.
