WINSTON — The Douglas junior varsity baseball team scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and defeated North Douglas, 8-7, in a nonleague game on Monday.

Gavyn Jones had three hits, including a pair of doubles, for the Trojans. Koldan Frieze had an RBI double for the Warriors (5-5 overall), who finished with six hits.

The pitchers struggled, with the two clubs combining for 19 walks.
