HARRISBURG — The Harrisburg Eagles defeated the Glide Wildcats, 9-4, in a Mountain Valley Conference baseball game on Monday.

Williams Downs was the winning pitcher for Harrisburg (5-10, 2-2 MVC), allowing two hits and three runs with five strikeouts over five innings. He also stroked three hits.

Glide (3-8, 1-3) used four pitchers in the contest: Cayden Kangiser, Rylan Black, Caleb Alexander and freshman Tryson Melton. A linescore wasn't available at press time.

The contest was moved to Harrisburg due to wet grounds in Glide.
