ROSEBURG High tech birding demo The Umpqua Valley Audubon Society will host a free workshop Oct. 24 about using technology for birding. The workshop will start at 7 p.m. in the Ford Community Room of the Douglas County Library, 1409 N.E. Diamond Lake Blvd., Roseburg. Attendees are encouraged to bring a smart phone, laptop or other mobile device to learn how to use them to find and identify birds and their songs.
