Guest column: Bybee project will help protect forests

A healthy forest, fire protection and jobs are all things we want to see in our community. The Bybee Timber Sale project has been designed to do these things, and more. You may have heard about the project. I want to clarify why the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest is proposing to selectively “treat” an area between the east edge of Douglas County and the western boundary of Crater Lake National Park, and what that means to you.
