The U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management plan to waive fees at day-use recreation sites in Oregon for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.

In the Umpqua National Forest, day-use fees will be waived at the trailhead parking area for Umpqua Hot Springs and the day-use area at South Umpqua Falls.

Fees will not be waived at campgrounds or cabin rentals, and the waiver does not apply to Sno-Parks.

Additional fee-free days in 2018 include President’s Day on Feb. 19, National Trails Day on June 2, National Get Outdoors Day on June 9, National Public Lands Day on Sept. 22, and Veterans Day weekend on Nov. 11 and 12.
