Brittney Zamora of Kennewick, Washington, became the first female to win a Northwest Super Late Model Series race Saturday night at Douglas County Speedway, capturing the Insulation Battle of the Burg 125 event.

Zamora, the season points leader, outdueled Roseburg’s Brandon Ash, who finished second. Mitch Kleyn of Quincy, Washington, was third.

Karl Smith won the mini stocks main event and Jeff Solberg took first in the street stocks feature.

The next scheduled program at DCS is July 1. It will include destruction trailer races, street stocks, mini stocks and the bangers 100-lap feature.
