BROOKINGS — South Umpqua remained winless in Far West League boys basketball following a 53-45 loss to Brookings Tuesday night.

The Lancers dropped to 4-18 overall and 0-9 in league.

Brig Schofield scored 14 of his game-high 35 points in the fourth quarter for the Bruins (12-11, 6-3). Schofield hit six 3-pointers in the contest.

Justin Thompson led South Umpqua with 15 points and Johnathan Warner added 11.

"I felt good about our performance," said S.U. coach Brett Nixon. "Schofield took over in the fourth."

The Lancers end the season Friday at home against Siuslaw.
