GLENDALE — The Glendale boys basketball team used a strong first quarter and stayed on top in a 51-37 victory over Yoncalla Tuesday in a Skyline League playoff game.

Senior point guard Tristan Ware finished with 20 points, seven assists and three steals for the Pirates (20-6 overall). Connor McGuire had 15 points, five assists and three steals, and Devin Lee grabbed 19 rebounds. McGuire hit three 3-point field goals.
