CANYONVILLE — Glendale lost 47-44 to C.S. Lewis Academy on Friday night at the Canyonville Christian Academy Tournament.

After a slow start Glendale (1-1) battled back in the second but came out slow again in the third quarter. The Pirates made a late run in the game to make it close, after a 3-pointer with 14 seconds left brought the game within three.

But after a C.S. Lewis missed free throw, Glendale wasn't able to get a final shot to tie the game before time expired.

"We didn't deserve to win," Glendale coach Thomas Ford said. "We couldn't buy a basket."
