DRAIN — Pacific played the inside-outside game to near perfection as the Pirates plundered North Douglas on Saturday for a 71-42 Skyline League boys basketball victory.

Steven White led all scorers with 20 points for the Pirates (14-2, 5-0 South). John Keeler and Joshua Engdahl both added 13 points for Pacific, which led 35-12 at the half.

"We did not take care of the ball tonight and everything they threw up went in," N.D. coach Tyler Vancil said. "In the first half they were killing us inside so we switched to a zone, and Steven White hit four 3s in a row."

The Pirates led 67-33 with 3:16 remaining, by which time the starters were on the bench. N.D. closed the game on a 9-4 run.

The Warriors (11-6, 4-1 North) were led by sophomore Jake Gerrard with eight points. North Douglas plays at Elkton on Friday, then has a showdown with Days Creek next Saturday for first in the Skyline North.
