GLENDALE — Hosanna Christian plundered the Pirates on Friday at Glendale High, taking a 70-20 victory in the nonleague football game.

Glendale (2-1) trailed 34-0 after a quarter and was down 50-12 at the half. It was the Pirates' first game against a Class 1A school; Glendale had played 2A independent 8-man teams Riddle and Crow the first two weeks of the season. 

Connor McGuire had 240 yards rushing on 19 carries and scored three touchdowns for the Pirates. Silas Sanchas ran for 128 yards and three TDs, while Chase Trumby added 119 yards on seven carries for the Lions.

Glendale will play at Powers (0-3) next Friday.
