MURPHY — Senior quarterback Elijah Wiegman had a big offensive night for Douglas, completing 20 of 28 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns to help the Trojans to a 32-8 nonleague football win over Hidden Valley Friday night.

Damon Landry made 10 receptions for 160 yards and one TD for the Trojans (2-1). Trent Avery rushed for 57 yards on 11 carries and Wiegman had an 11-yard scoring run.

Michael Wanamaker added an 11-yard TD run for Douglas. Wanamaker and Andrew Chapman each made 10 tackles to lead the defensive effort.

"It was a really good game for us," said Douglas coach Silia Polamalu. "Unlike last week, we put together four good quarters."

The Trojans will travel to Florence next Friday to meet Siuslaw in their Far West League opener.
