Two Douglas County players were selected to the Class 1A volleyball all-state first team in voting by the coaches.

Days Creek senior Carlie Dossman and North Douglas junior Arianna Helgren made the first team. Also selected to the first unit were seniors Meghan McGrath and Mollie Lewandowski of state champion Country Christian, junior Ellie Schanz of Crosshill Christian, junior Miriam Levesque of Hosanna Christian and junior Emma Hite of Joseph.

McGrath was named the player of the year. Janin McGrath of Country Christian was coach of the year.

The second team consisted of senior Brianna Zweygardt of Prairie City, senior Alexis Sykora of Joseph, junior Kendra Spurlock of Gilchrist, junior Meredith Bush of Hosanna Christian, senior Jasmine Griffith of Country Christian, senior Jackie Juarez of Perrydale and senior Maggie Ledbetter of Cove.

Making the third team were junior Abby Whipple of North Douglas, junior Sarah Phillips and senior Debby Grandle of Country Christian, senior Chloe Beeson of Dufur, senior Morgan Bayes of Adrian, junior Jade Hayes of McKenzie, senior Lindsey Mendez of Crosshill Christian and senior Lily Lane of Lowell.

Days Creek sophomores Jolene Crume and Moriah Michaels were among eight players receiving honorable mention.
