COOS BAY — Douglas dropped a 2-1 decision to Marshfield on Tuesday in a Far West League boys soccer game.

The Trojans fell to 5-7-1 overall and 4-5-0 in the Far West.

Quinden Parson scored in the 10th minute for Douglas off an assist from Max Jung. Cody Eastwood scored off corner kicks in the 24th and 47th minutes to give the Pirates (4-8-0, 3-6-0) the edge.

Douglas coach Axel Jung was pleased with his team's effort, singling out goalkeeper Jaykob Jones for "numerous saves."

The Trojans host Coquille at 2 p.m. Thursday, needing to either win or tie against the DevilCats (3-7-1, 3-6) to secure a 4A play-in berth.
