The Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs pounded out 13 hits and remained unbeaten in Special District 4 baseball on Saturday with an 18-4 whipping of Bonanza in five innings at Bill Gray Stadium at Legion Field.

Jacob Luther went 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs for the Monarchs (12-4, 8-0 District 4), who jumped on the Antlers (3-10, 2-5) for eight runs in the bottom of the first inning. Jeremiah Geiger was 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs.

KC Pettibone and CJ Gale each added two hits for UVC. Pettibone tripled, scored two runs and knocked in two. Gale doubled, scored four runs and had two RBIs.

Kolby Mahoney, Pettibone and Geiger shared the pitching duties, combining for eight strikeouts and two walks.

Rodrigo Madera, Lane Randall and Bradley Ireland each had two hits for Bonanza.
