RIDDLE — Yoncalla defeated Canyonville Academy 63-40 in a boys basketball third-place game Saturday at the Cow Creek Classic.

"We had a balanced attack offensively," Yoncalla coach Darwin Terry said. "Players that normally don't score, played really well. It was a pretty balanced game, I think that was the difference."

Yoncalla (2-3) was led in scoring by Brody Best with 12 points. Dominic Aguilar added 11, Austin Clemons 10 and Corbin Eichman nine.

Yoncalla sophomore Trace Graham had a big game, coming off the bench to put up seven points.

Cherokee Lester led Canyonville Academy (2-4) with 18 points.

Yoncalla hosts Mohawk on Monday, and the Pilots will host New Hope Christian on Wednesday.
