WINSTON — Douglas won Friday's nonleague boys basketball game, 59-49, over Bandon.

"We came together and finished strong," DHS coach Joshua Heacock said. "(Bradley) Chapman's defense really sealed the deal for us."

Chapman scored 14 points for the Class 3A Trojans (2-2). Braeden Edwards scored 15 points for Douglas and Luke Fowler added 11 points.

2A Bandon (0-5) was led by Matthew Yarbor with 16 points. Luke Brown and Colby Gaston added 11 points apiece.

Douglas will play at Illinois Valley on Tuesday.
