TRI CITY — Lincoln Kilborn scored 23 points and North Valley used a strong first quarter to get the jump on South Umpqua and notch a 64-42 nonleague boys basketball win on Tuesday night.

Kilborn hit five 3-point field goals. Tanner Lauby added 13 points for the Knights (1-3), who led 33-18 at halftime.

Matt Lee scored a season-high 19 points for the Lancers (0-4). Josh Deister contributed six points and 10 rebounds.

S.U. travels to Murphy Friday to meet Hidden Valley.
