CAMAS VALLEY — A big third quarter helped send the Camas Valley Hornets to a 64-61 win over Elkton in Friday's Skyline League boys basketball game.

Derek O'Connor had 27 points to lead Camas Valley (10-4, 3-1). He also had seven steals in the game.

Devan Ewing had 18 points and nine rebounds against Elkton (6-9, 2-2). 

Seth Maliglig contributed six points for the Hornets, but set the tone in the game.

"He was a difference-maker," Camas Valley coach Chris Sexton said. "Elkton is a great team, they have a lot of good players over there. we'll take a win anyway we can get it."

Brad Doudna led the Elks with 26 points and Austin Luzier contributed 19.

C.V. outscored the Elks 25-12 in the third quarter to take a 52-42 advantage into the fourth quarter.
