ROGUE RIVER — The Riddle boys basketball team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 69-55 nonleague victory over Rogue River on Tuesday night.

Senior guard Nate Hopkins led the Irish with 29 points. Dylan McFadden scored 16 points and Cameron McMichael had nine.

Tyler Walsh scored 13 points for the Chieftains (3-1), who lost their first game of the season.

"It could've been a much larger win," surmised Riddle coach Russell Hobson. "We weren't consistent with our execution on the offensive end and taking care of the basketball, but I was proud every time (Rogue River) made a run our kids responded."

Riddle will meet Canyonville Academy at 7:30 Friday in the first round of the Cow Creek Classic.
