Roseburg's girls cross country team poses with its third place trophy following the Warner Pacific XC meet at Lent's Park in Portland.

PORTLAND — Roseburg's girls cross country team finished third in the silver division at the Warner Pacific XC meet at Lent's Park.

Roseburg freshman Eliza Eckman finished second in 19:00.9, behind La Center's Roselynn Martin (18:38.1), to lead the Tribe.

Isabell Webber finished 18th in 20:20.8 and Samantha Eichman was 26th in 20:41.6, nearly a minute faster than her season best.

"The girls love Sam and the positive energy she brings day in and day out. It was exciting to see her have such a big day for us," RHS coach Nathan Eckman said.

The boys team finished ninth without Elijah Hansen, who participated in a matching competition today. Hansen has consistently been the third runner for the boys' team.

Roseburg's top two boys runners finished in the top 10. Zachary Traul was fourth in 16:34.5 and Hunter Agsten was eighth in 16:51.5.

RHS will host the Umpqua Last Chance Meet next Wednesday.
