ROGUE RIVER — Sutherlin's girls cross country team finished second with three top 10 finishers at the Rogue River Booster Invitational at the Valley of the Rogue State Park on Saturday.

Freshman Ashley Radmer was the first Bulldog to finish the 5,000-meter race in 23:22.72 for fourth place, just ahead of teammate Madison Turner, also a freshman, in fifth place (23:25.35).

Alexa Shaver finished 10th in 25:03.48 for Sutherlin and Heidi Christianson ran the race in 25:03.99 for 11th place. Glide and Oakland runners also competed in the race.

In the boys' race Oakland's Wyatt Smith was the first Douglas County boy to finish and eighth overall in 18:50.07. Sutherlin was led by Tucker Clement in 20:03.00 and Glide's top runner was Brandon Byrd in 20:15.88.
