YONCALLA — Bryson Wolfe turned in a big offensive game as Camas Valley held off Yoncalla, 34-32, Saturday in a nonleague prep football game.

Wolfe, a senior quarterback, carried the ball 19 times for 257 yards and one touchdown and was 6 of 11 for 145 yards and three scores.

Jared Hunt caught three passes for 122 yards and two TDs and added a scoring run for the Hornets (1-1), who notched their first win of the season.

C.V. outgained the Eagles (1-1), 453-360.

Senior quarterback Dominic Aguilar rushed for 116 yards on 18 carries for Yoncalla, which trailed 16-12 at halftime. Jordan Aguilar ran for 91 yards on 17 attempts and scored a pair of TDs.

Corbin Eichman made three receptions for 79 yards and two scores for the Eagles.

Defensively, Hunt led the Hornets with 15 tackles. Bryson Wolfe and Justin Standley each were in on 12 stops, and Tristan Casteel made 10 tackles and an interception.

C.V. fumbled seven times, losing six. Yoncalla made three turnovers.

Both clubs start league play next Friday, with Camas Valley visiting Glendale in a Special District 2 West game and Yoncalla traveling to Lowell for a Special District 1 South contest.
