BUTTE FALLS — Glendale football led for 30 minutes, but Butte Falls came back to win 50-26 in Saturday’s 1A Special District 2 West game.

The Pirates (1-6, 1-3) were up 26-16 at halftime, thanks to four touchdown passes by Alyx Rocha. Rocha completed 9 of 21 passes for 121 yards and two interceptions.

Butte Falls (4-2, 2-2) scored two touchdowns in the final minute of the third quarter to go up, 28-26. In the fourth quarter the Loggers scored three more TDs to secure the win.

Glendale’s Kaleb Cline had six receptions for 77 yards and rushed 13 times for 48 yards. Will Kidwell was the leading rusher with 19 attempts for 154 yards, Rocha had nine carries for 34 yards.

Elijah Wytcherley and David Lovaglio each had a receiving touchdown as well.

Butte Falls quarterback Dylan Bridges completed 10 of 25 passes for 225 yards.

Glendale will play at Days Creek on Friday.
