FALLS CITY — Two suspensions didn't help North Douglas' cause, but Falls City left little doubt of the Mountaineers qualifications  in a 46-6 domination in a Special District 1 crossover playoff game on Friday.

Falls City (6-2, 5-1 SD1 North) claimed one of two playoff spots up from grabs for the non-division winners with the victory.

North Douglas (5-4, 3-2 SD1 South) still has hope of an at-large playoff berth. Four teams will receive at-large spots in the OSAA Class 1A eight-man playoffs, and the Warriors are among the top 12 teams in the power rankings.

N.D. played the game without senior Cal Parks and junior Jake Gerrard; both players had to sit after being ejected in the first quarter of the previous Friday's contest against Lowell.

No other details on the game were reported to The News-Review Friday night.
