WINSTON — Sophomore post Amy Dickover scored 16 of her 18 points in the first half and Douglas fended off an Ashland rally in the fourth period to take a 43-37 nonleague girls basketball win on Friday night.

Senior guard Ayana Parson scored six points for the 3A Trojans (2-1), including four key free throws. Sophomore Mackenzii Phillips chipped in six points and five steals.

Nina Munson led the 5A Grizzlies (2-2) with 20 points.
