ELKTON — The North Douglas girls basketball team defeated Elkton 43-19 in a Skyline League North game Saturday night at Grimsrud Gym.

Sophomore Natalie Thompson led the Warriors (11-3, 4-0 North) with 17 points and four rebounds. Abby Whipple had 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists and four steals.

Aspyn Luzier and Kieryn Carnes led the Elks (7-8, 2-2) with six points apiece. North Douglas led 13-0 after the first quarter and 22-8 at halftime.

The Warriors had 27 rebounds compared to 11 for the Elks.

North Douglas plays Riddle Friday. Elkton plays Riddle next Saturday.
