BROOKINGS — Douglas High's girls basketball team dropped its Far West League opener to Brookings-Harbor, 41-32, on Friday.

Lainey Rincon led the Trojans (7-7, 0-1 FWL) with 14 points, followed by Amy Dickover with six points.

Abby Farmer had a game-high 21 points for the Bruins (7-8, 1-0).

Douglas will host South Umpqua on Tuesday.
