GOLD BEACH — A bad quarter in Glide's nonleague girls basketball game ended in a 50-34 loss to Gold Beach on Wednesday.

The Wildcats (2-3) led 21-19 at halftime, but got just two points on the board in the third quarter. Gold Beach (2-0) outscored Glide 31-13 in the second half.

Glide was led in scoring by senior Whitney Stone with 14 points, and freshman Ruby Livingston contributed seven points and eight rebounds.

Paris Newdall was the leading scorer for the Panthers with 24 points.

Glide will play Yoncalla at 3 p.m. Friday at the Cow Creek Classic in Riddle.
