Roseburg’s girls basketball team had an opportunity to tie in the final six seconds of Friday’s Southwest Conference game against Willamette, but the shots didn’t fall, and the Wolverines won 31-29 in Eugene.

The Tribe (6-7, 0-2) had a chance to tie it with a layup with about 10 seconds left in the game, but couldn’t get the ball in the basket.

Willamette (6-8, 1-2) knocked the ball out of bounds with six seconds left and Roseburg had two more attempts, but neither fell.

Jalen Robles was the Indians’ leading scorer with eight points. She also had six rebounds.

Roseburg’s Samie Bergmann had 12 rebounds and six points.

Willamette was led in scoring by Makenzie Crawford with nine points.

The Tribe will travel to South Medford on Tuesday.
