BROOKINGS — South Umpqua lost 57-41 to Brookings in Tuesday's Far West League girls basketball game.

Abby Farmer scored 25 points for the Bruins (14-9, 8-1 FWL), who are second behind Marshfield in the league standings.

Kyla Pires led the Lancers (9-13, 3-6) with 14 points and seven rebounds. Jadyn Vermillion had nine points and five rebounds, while Shalyn Gray contributed six rebounds.

South Umpqua will host Siuslaw at 6 p.m. Friday.
