MEDFORD — North Medford prevailed 2-1 over Roseburg in Saturday's Southwest Conference girls soccer game.

Roseburg's (3-8-1, 0-8 SWC) lone goal was a penalty kick in the 41st minute by Callie Price,

"We played really, really well," RHS coach Kristin Parks said. "We had very equal possession and made some great passes. It was the best game we played as a team in conference play. They didn't give up, fought the whole time and I'm very pleased with how they played."

The Black Tornado (2-5-4, 2-4-2) scored in the 31st minute on a PK and again in the 67th minute.

According to Parks, Roseburg thought it scored a goal in the 30th minute when the ball and goal keeper crossed the line, but the officials didn't call it a goal.

Roseburg will play at South Medford on Tuesday and host Grants Pass for the final match next Saturday.
