MEDFORD — The Roseburg boys golf team finished second place, behind South Medford, in the South Medford Invitational at Rogue Valley Country Club on Monday.

The tournament, which kicked off the high school golf season, was formatted where six golfers play in two-man teams. The front nine was a best ball format and the back nine was played as a two-man scramble.

Roseburg’s Bryce Thomason and Hunter Endicott tied for medalist honors with Grants Pass’ Taylor Anderson and Andrew Jaroslow, each shooting 2-over par 74s.

Team Scores — 1. South Medford, 159; 2. Roseburg, 160; 3. Grants Pass, 161; 4. Ashland, 171; 5. Eagle Point, 176; 6. St. Mary’s, 196; 7. North Medford, 203.

Roseburg Scores — Bryce Thomason and Hunter Endicott, 39-35—74; Koby Gilbert and Dylan Guido, 47-39—86; Ryan Remmington and Brady Watkins, 49-44—93.
