EUGENE — Roseburg won the Southwest Conference girls golf tournament at Eugene Country Club on Monday.

Roseburg's Alexandra Sandfort carded an 82 to finish second, behind Tannica Porter of Willamette, who shot a 75.

Lauren Sandfort of Roseburg tied for third place with South Medford's Kristen Reed with an 83. RHS's Avry Hansen shot an 86 for a fifth place finish.

"I was very pleased with the efforts today," Roseburg coach Bruce Walker said. "The girls continue to compete and are getting better at understanding when they can be aggressive with club selections and target lines. They also continue to improve in their scrambling around the greens which is one of the reasons for their scores today."

Roseburg's Makayla Walker also competed and carded a 104.

The Tribe will host the fourth SWC counter Monday at Roseburg Country Club.
