MEDFORD — The Glide softball team handed Bonanza an 18-3 whipping in five innings on Wednesday in a nonleague game at U.S. Cellular Community Park.

Whitney Stone was 3-for-3 with a double and Jordan Williams went 3-for-3 with two runs for the 3A Wildcats (20-6 overall), who lost two straight games to end the Mountain Valley Conference season. Freshman Ruby Livingston had two hits in three at-bats, including a triple, and scored two runs.

Rachel Major walked three times and scored three runs in the victory. Jordan Williams pitched a three-hitter, striking out four and walking five.

Glide will host Harrisburg (19-6) at 4:30 p.m. Friday in an MVC playoff game. The Eagles finished one game behind the Wildcats in the league standings.
