BEAVERTON — The Roseburg boys doubles team of Lucas Ball and Ethan Smith will play in the quarterfinals of the OSAA tennis championships Friday at Tualatin Hills Tennis Center.

The No. 4-seeded team will face the No. 6-seeded Charlie Law and Jaden D’Abreo of Jesuit in the quarterfinals.

Ball and Smith had a bye in the first round and defeated Lincoln’s Fritz Hergenhan and Guido Ragr 6-3, 6-3 in the second round.

All teams left standing in the quarterfinals were seeded.

Roseburg’s Isaac Beery and Michael Bober lost their first round match to West Linn’s Justin Lawrence and Logan Thompson, falling 6-2, 6-3.

The duo will play Central Catholic’s Santi Giordano and Noah Grabe in the consolation quarterfinals.

The Roseburg boys did not have any singles players in the tournament.

The RHS girls, however, had two — Adrienne Powell and Sam Eichman.

Each of them won the first round match, but faltered in the second round.

Powell played top-seeded Serim Jin of Sunset and lost, 6-3, 6-0.

She defeated Franklin’s Sarah Duran 6-4, 6-3 in the first round.

Eichman lost 6-1, 6-2 to No. 6 seed Amelia Vu of Westview in the second round after defeating Barlow’s Grace Maxey 6-2, 6-0 in the early morning match.

Roseburg’s doubles team of Alexandra Sandfort and Steffi Early won their first round match 6-1, 6-4 over Clackamas’ Taylor Morris and Olivia Morris.

But the duo fell 6-1, 6-2 to third-seeded Phoebe Wu and Yara Chehab of Sunset in the following round.

Bailey Norlin-Pritchard and Megan Danielson fell 6-2, 306 (3) to Carly Allen and Camilla Morse of Lincoln in the first round.

The Lincoln duo will play Sunset’s No. 4 seed Lorissa Yuen and Kirsten Auble.

Norlin-Pritchard and Danielson will play Sheldon’s Payton Ritchie and Lilly Syphers in the consolation quarterfinals.
