BEAVERTON — Roseburg’s doubles team of Isaac Beery and Michael Bober advanced to the championship quarterfinals with a second-round victory on Thursday in the OSAA Class 6A tennis tournament at Babette Horenstein Tennis Center.

The sixth-seeded Indians duo defeated Reece Parr and Nick Howard of McMinnville 6-3, 6-4. Beery and Bober will face top-seeded Tommy Kallgren and Jaden D’Abreo of Jesuit in the quarterfinals Friday.

In singles, Roseburg junior Ethan Smith defeated Central Catholic freshman Lucas Gorretta, 6-4, 6-0, in the first round and lost to No. 6 Jack Ninteman of Lakeridge, 6-2, 6-1, in the second round.
