MONROE — The Oakland boys track and field team won Thursday's Monroe Invite.

James Morhain jumped 39-8 in the triple jump for an Oakland win ahead of Yoncalla's Sean Keenan (38-11) and Oakland's Nikolas Eyler (35-3).

Danny Sigl won the 300 hurdles for Oakland in 47.00. Alex Brown finished the race in 48.91 to finish third for the Oakers.

Sigl finished second in the shot put (42.6) ahead of teammate Skyler Shadbolt (41-3). Shadbolt also finished third in the javelin (112-10).

Oakland's relay teams finished third in both the 4x100 (49.30) and 4x400 (4:10.27).

Yoncalla's Sean Keenan won the 100 (12.20) followed by Oakland's Trae Crawford (12.36) and Yoncalla's Jake Gerrard (12.37).

Keenan also won the high jump with a jump of 5-6 and was second in the long jump (17-4). Oakland's Kevin Meier cleared the same height in high jump to finish second in the event, Meier also finished behind Keenan in the long jump with a distance of 17-3.

Morhain  finished second in the 200 (25.02) while his teammate Wyatt Smith finished third in the 1,500 (4:45.38). Matt LaDuke finished third in the discus (100-0) and Kevin Meier finished second in pole vault (10-6).

Smith also finished second in the 3,000 (10:34.32) followed by fellow Oaker Matthew Pedersen (11:13.31)

Yoncalla's Brody Best finished third in the 800 (2:30.62)

Yoncalla's boys and girls teams each finished in fifth place.

The Oakland girls finished second behind Monroe

Gabby Amerman-Smith of Oakland finished third in the 1,500 (6:35.94) and the 3,000 (13:48.35). Her teammate Rachel Arts took bronze in the 100 meter hurdles in 17.96 and Kaylee Smonson placed second in the 300 meter hurdles in 59.10.

Oakland's 4x400 relay team of Hannah Cagle, Arts, Erin Nichols and Simonson finished third in 5:25.68. Yoncalla's 4x100 relay team of Ashley Powers, Kaleigh Soto, Rilie Jo Olds and Justice Cox took bronze in 57.51.

Olds finished third in discus (87-6) while her teammate Shaunasi Hardi finished third in the high jump (4-4) and Kaleigh Soto finished third in the long jump (12-10).

Oakland's Arts won the pole vault at 9 feet and the Oakers' Megan Baird finished third (7-0). Simonson and Cagle finished second and third in the triple jump with jumps of 27-71.2 and 26-8 respectively.
