MOLALLA — The Days Creek volleyball team saw some quality competition at the Country Christian Tournament on Saturday, losing in the semifinals.

The Wolves (9-3) fell to Country Christian 25-23, 23-25, 15-6.

D.C. got 11 kills from Jolene Crume, 14 digs from Lexi Jackson and nine blocks from Lori Jackson against the Cougars.

In pool play, the Wolves defeated Faith Bible 25-18, 25-23; split with Colton 25-14, 21-25; and beat Willamette Valley Christian 25-21, 25-20.

"We did some good things," said Days Creek coach Ron Dunn.

The Wolves host Elkton on Tuesday in a Skyline League North match.
