REDMOND — Glide’s volleyball season ended Saturday with a five-set consolation loss to Weston-McEwen at Ridgeview High School.

The No. 8 Wildcats (19-7) lost 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 19-25, 15-11. Glide lost to No. 1 Kennedy Friday in straight sets.

Johanna Pope ended her Glide career with a big match, finishing with 23 kills, 10 digs and eight blocks. Jordan Williams had 10 kills and five blocks, Mashayla Belloir contributed 35 assists and nine digs, Regan Deardorff had 17 digs, eight kills and three aces, Ruby Livingston chipped in nine digs and three blocks and Alyssa Malek added 23 digs.

"It was a hard-fought match," said Glide coach Stephanie Furlong. "The girls were hoping to do more in the tournament, but I'm really proud of them getting there. We had a great time as a team this season."

No. 5 Weston-McEwen later lost to No. 7 Coquille in the fourth-place match.

Central Linn beat Kennedy in four sets for third place. No. 4 Portland Christian downed No. 2 Grant Union in five sets in the championship match Saturday night.
