RIDDLE — The third-ranked North Douglas volleyball team won two Skyline League matches over Pacific and Riddle on Tuesday at Riddle High School.

The Warriors (11-2, 4-0 North) whipped Pacific 25-6, 25-9, 25-6 and defeated the Irish 25-11, 25-5, 25-17.

Riddle (3-8, 2-5 South) beat the winless Pirates 25-11, 24-26, 25-17, 25-17.

Arianna Helgren finished with 11 kills and eight assists for North Douglas versus Pacific. Rilie-Jo Olds added 12 aces and freshman Halli Vaughn contributed five kills.

Abby Whipple had eight kills, 17 assists and six aces for N.D. against Riddle. Olds chipped in six kills and four aces, while Vaughn had four aces.

Katie Langdon had three kills and Kierra Linde made three assists for the Irish.

In the Pacific match, Langdon had seven kills and five aces. Linde had 11 assists and four aces, Taylor Black contributed four kills and three aces, sophomore Emilee Ball had four kills and three aces, and sophomore Paige Knight chipped in three aces for Riddle.

"Every day, they're getting better and better," Riddle first-year coach Shantelle Weakley said. "Our girls are very scrappy."

North Douglas will play at Elkton Thursday. Riddle will head to the Reedsport Tournament Saturday.
