EUGENE — The Roseburg volleyball team lost to North Eugene in bracket play at the South Eugene Tournament on Saturday at the Purple Pit.

The Highlanders won 25-18, 25-19 in the best-of-three match.

The Indians (1-4 overall) split with Silverton (16-25, 25-18), beat South Medford (25-20, 25-8) and lost to South Eugene (25-12, 25-17) in pool play.

Chay Swenson had 18 kills for Roseburg on the day. Alyssa Fox had 17 kills, Hannah Bartlett contributed 13 kills, Mallory Malysz had 28 assists, Rylee Russell contributed 19 assists, Katelyn Crawford chipped in 14 assists, Karey Lomica made 51 digs and Micah Lake had 21 digs.

Roseburg opens its Southwest Conference schedule on Thursday, hosting South Eugene at Robertson Memorial Gym.
