LOWELL — The Oakland volleyball team ended its season Wednesday night with a Central Valley Conference loss to Lowell in straight sets.

Sophomore Taylor Yard had five kills and four blocks for the Oakers (3-17, 2-12 CVC). Mady Gibbs chipped in three kills and two aces, Kaylee Simonson made four digs, Hannah Cagle contributed six digs, Paige Smith had four kills, and Aubry Brownson added seven assists and two kills.

"We made progress throughout the season, other than tonight," said Oakland coach Christina Walker-Clark. "I wish our last two sets would've gone better."
