Umpqua Valley Christian’s Eden Crouse (2) hits the ball over the net in the Monarchs’ sweep of Camas Valley.

DIXONVILLE — Umpqua Valley Christian swept Camas Valley in its final 1A Skyline League volleyball match of the regular season at home Friday.

The Monarchs (16-5, 9-4 Skyline North) defeated the Hornets (6-10, 6-7 South) 25-22, 25-18, 25-10.

UVC senior Eden Crouse had six kills and four digs, Layla Pappas had 14 assists and two kills. Addison Weckerle had six kills and Kenzie Short had two blocks and two kills.

Camas Valley will host Riddle on Saturday in a nonleague match.

The Skyline tournament is scheduled to start Thursday to determine the top seeds for the playoffs.
