DIXONVILLE — The Umpqua Valley Christian volleyball team improved to 9-1 on the season and 3-1 in the Skyline League North with a victory over Yoncalla on Tuesday night.

Set scores were 25-18, 25-10, 25-19.

Sophomore Layla Pappas made 16 assists for the Monarchs. Freshman Addison Weckerle had nine kills and senior Eden Crouse contributed seven kills.

Sophomore Kenzie Walton had three kills and six digs for the Eagles (3-5, 2-4 North). Freshman Ali Van Loon contributed seven assists, sophomore Cassidy Bragg had four assists, Kaleigh Soto chipped in six digs and four aces, and Bella Kloha made eight digs.

UVC travels to Port Orford Thursday to meet Pacific. Yoncalla will host Days Creek.
